GHQ  had  an  old   calibration   laboratory   that  served  the   calibration  of  all  GHQ armed  forces  electronic  equipment.  Calibrating  those  electronic  equipment  is  an essential   and  critical  task  to  ensure  accurate  functioning   of  the  Air  Force  and Air Defense electronic warfare and missile defense systems. The AF/AD Calibration Lab was not in a condition to deliver neither quick calibration services nor was able to accept the new electronic equipment of the recently bought Air Force Jet Fighters.
